This year at San Diego Comic-Con International, we have a number of correspondents with ‘boots on the ground’, doing their best to take in as much of the sights and sounds of the show as possible, checking out a number of the panels and also interviewing some really cool and interesting creatives, dotted around the show.
One of these is one of our favourite Correspondents LeeAnn Green and she got the chance to sit and talk for a spell with comics writer Gail Simone. Gail has been a legend in the industry for a while now, known for her incredibly verbose scripts and strong characters – it’s this strength that no doubt inspired Lion Forge Comics to call on Gail to head up their CATALYST PRIME superhero line, a complete universe of books and characters drawing from a well of diversity and representation.

LeeAnn and Gail get into all of that, of course, but they also talk about another recent project of Gail’s, the revival of Golden Age superhero THE DEATH DEFYING ‘DEVIL, something which Gail was very excited to cover, along with the working relationship with artist Walter Geovani. It’s a cracking conversation which touches on plenty of topics – all underpinned by a very energetic San Diego Comic-Con Exhibition Floor! You gotta love the crowds!
