SDCC@HOME: IDW Publishing launch Comic-Con Exclusives listings, available as of today – summarise panel listings

SDCC@HOME – the virtual replacement for the COVID-19 cancelled pop culture event that is San Diego Comic-Con – has already revealed the line-up for its streaming panel content (although you never know, some last-minute surprises may show up between now and the start of the show on Wednesday! If NEW MUTANTS can barge its way into the programming without a by-or-leave…!).

And we’ve done our best to highlight the fact that the schedules have got your veritable shit-ton of comics content making up the listings – and IDW Publishing have also been in touch to remind us how much they will be participating. And, hoo boy, it’s a lot! IDW represent, baby!

IDW’s “Comic-Con@Home” 2020 Plans Bring Superstar Creators and Hot Exclusives to Virtual Comic-Con Attendees Everywhere!

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 20, 2020) – Just because San Diego Comic-Con isn’t taking place “on the ground” this year, that doesn’t mean that fans have to miss the mind-blowing fun of attending panels, hunting down hot collectibles, or getting autographs from your favorite writers and artists! This week, IDW Publishing welcomes you to enjoy “Comic-Con@Home” with a series of eight wildly insightful creator panels, plus convention exclusive comic variants and signed bookplate edition graphic novels!

“While we’ll miss seeing the enthusiasm of fans face-to-face this year, we’re thrilled to be able to connect with each and every one of you through some truly engaging panels,” says Chris Ryall, IDW’s President, Publisher, and CCO. “We’re excited and grateful to have so many exceptional creative talents participating!”

Also, for those fans eager to get their hands on autographs from their favorite creators, IDW has created bookplate editions for a selection of nearly 30 graphic novels and hardcovers (Johnny BooLocke & KeyTMNT, Artist’s Editions, and more). The signing creators include David M. Booher, Drew Zucker, Hannah Templer, James Kochalka, Jarod Roselló, Joe Hill, Kevin Eastman, Sam Maggs, Stan Sakai, and Walter Simonson.

IDW Presents: G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes with Rob Liefeld (Thursday, July 23, – 2:00pm)

Snake Eyes is back, with veteran comic book creator Rob Liefeld (New MutantsX-ForceYoungblood) leading the charge! Get a first look at his take on the G.I. Joe character with Liefeld and moderator Jim Viscardi (Comicbook.com executive editor).

The Science of Back to the Future (Thursday, July 23 – 3:00pm)

Flux Capacitor, hoverboards, flying cars, and time travel. The Back to the Future stories have introduced us to a lot of interesting and futuristic ideas. Join the Fleet Science Center and IDW for a closer look at the Back to the Future comic series and for an exciting reveal of a mind-blowing crossover: Back to the Future meets Transformers! The creative team behind Back to the FutureTransformers, and the new crossover will share how they dream up their fantastic stories and discuss with local scientists if and how the science in their stories might work.
