NERDIST HOUSE: Nerdist brings HANNIBAL, RAD and KAMEN RIDER to online off-site event, this Saturday

One of the key elements of San Diego Comic-Con – something that pretty much distinguishes it from most other cons – are the numerous off-site events that spring up around the core event, expanding its footprint beyond the Convention Center. Many brands use these spaces to provide focused promotion for their IPs and then there are those off-sites that do it to represent and give fans a fuller experience: NERDIST HOUSE is certainly one of the latter.

Put together by hugely popular online network Nerdist, Nerdist House has been a fixture of the past few SDCC’s, setting up camp in the Gaslamp District and bouncing off their residence at Petco Park. However, with the convention heading into the digital space for 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nerdist House has headed there, too.

To give Nerdist their credit, mind, they are not broadcasting their content during San Diego Comic-Con week (Thursday 23rd-Sunday 26th July) and treading on their toes – Nerdist House will be online just one day of this weekend coming, on the Saturday 11th July.

Nerdist will admittedly be putting on the more polished content of the two organisations – online is where Nerdist live, after all, this is almost their home turf. And that’s represented by some fantastic panels being streamed this Saturday, with two spotlight reunion sessions featuring the cast of ’80s teens adventure RAD and also a full lineup of the cult television series HANNIBAL.

It all kicks off at 10am PT (6pm GMT) this Saturday with said HANNIBAL panel, starting the day strong – do check out the programming throughout the day and see how an online off-site is really done…
