NYCC 2019: Lion Forge / Oni Press release Signings and Programming New York Comic Con lineup

This weekend’s New York Comic Con will be the first NYCC since Lion Forge and Oni Press announced their merging, meaning they have a lot to prove to comics fans wanting to see if the coming together of the two companies will prove the best solution to their creative teams and their audiences.

Lion Forge has established itself as a home for artists, writers and creative teams representing marginalized and minority views, while Oni Press has carved themselves a tidy portion of the comics landscape, serving all-ages, niche licensing and bold, forward-thinking titles.

At New York Comic Con (Javits Center, Thursday 3rd-Sunday 6th October 2019), the new collective will be showcasing a full roster of talent and titles in a slew of signings and panels…

Oni and Lion Forge present a panel of some of the year’s most anticipated creator-owned comics and graphic novels just in time for the Season of the Witch! Join editor-in-chief Sarah Gaydos, senior editor Jasmine Amiri, along with Daniel Barnes and D.J. Kirkland (Black Mage), Sarah Graley (Kim Reaper), and Suzanne Walker and Wendy Xu (Mooncakes), for a “spirited discussion” on “the craft” of creating some of the most magical comics for teens and adults alike!

  • RICK AND MORTY VS DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS LIVE PLAY! (Friday October 4th, 7:45 PM – 9:15 PM – Room 1C03)

5th edition D&D meets Rick and Morty dimension-crashing sass! Dungeon Master Jim Zub (co-writer of Rick and Morty™ VS D&D) will run a panel of foolhardy gaming and comic guests through an encounter torn from the pages of the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons VS Rick and Morty™ official RPG adventure. You’ll laugh, you’ll wince, you might even win some prizes – don’t miss it!

Also, Lion Forge and Oni creators will be appearing on the SYFY WIRE LIVE STAGE throughout the show!
