The news week was bit slow, which is understandable considering it’s the holiday season, but Dark Horse still had a few announcements including a new edition of THE ART OF COMIC-BOOK INKING, details on the upcoming TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION: EXTREMIS MALIS #1
On Thursday, Dark Horse announced that their The Art of Comic-Book Inking would be getting an expanded edition release.
The new release will include new art and writings from Gary Martin as well as a new chapter from Leo Vitalis about digital inking, and eight full-sized blue-lined art boards showing off pencil art from such notable creators like Steve Rude, Terry Dodson, Jack Kirby, and more.
The softcover 200 page book will be released on May 29th, 2019 but can be pre-ordered now.
Also on Thursday came details on the upcoming first issue of TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION: EXTREMIS MALIS.
The title is a tie-in to the hit video game TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION which sees the Division agents in New York City after a bioweapon attack devastated The Big Apple.
The series from the creative team of writer Christofer Emgard, artist Fernando Baldo, colorist Michael Atiyeh will be released on January 9th with J. P. Leon artwork adorning the cover.
