Nominations for the 2020 Annie Awards announced today – celebrating animation in all forms

With the end of the year quickly approaching, nominations for various awards have already started to be announced.

Today, the 47th Annie Awards announced their nominations for the 2020 ceremony. The Annie Awards celebrate animation in all it’s forms including standard animation for TV, movies, commercials, video games, and more as well as special effects awards.

The ceremony will take place Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Royce Hall on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles.

As usual Disney (and their various divisions) got quite a few nominations for both FROZEN 2 and TOY STORY 4, as well special FX ones for AVENGERS: END GAME. Disney wasn’t the only studio to get multiple nomations, as Laika also got a few for MISSING LINK, and DreamWorks Animation’s HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD also saw multiple nominations come their way.
