Valiant Entertainment – News week (April 1st, 2019)

In this week’s installment of news from Valiant Entertainment comes an announcement of a digital library of almost 600 issues on a USB drive, a preview of FALLEN WORLD #1 Glass Variant Cover

The news week kicked off with Valiant and GIT Corp announcing a digital comic book collection that will contain copies of every issue that was released between 2012 and 2018.

Valiant: The Complete Digital Comic Book Collection will contain 591 different issues on an USB drive, and will available in both a standard version as well as a Platinum Limited Edition. The limited edition will only have 500 copies available, and will contain 12 vivid collectible FILMCARDS showcasing some of the more popular characters.

It will be released on May 22nd, but can be pre-ordered now ($60 for regular version, and $90 for limited edition)

Also this week, a preview of the upcoming Glass Variant Cover for
FALLEN WORLD #1 was released.

The cover features art by Doug Braithwaite and show cases Rai and with the glass variant cover, makes it seem like Rai is reaching out to the reader.

The first issue of the five part mini-series will be released on May 1st, and along with the glass variant cover there will be 5 other cover versions including a special David Mack version available exclusively as part of a pre-order bundle.

First Look – FALLEN WORLD #1 Glass Variant Cover

April 4, 2019 (New York, NY) – As first announced on Previewsworld, Valiant Entertainment is excited to offer a first look at the FALLEN WORLD #1 Glass Variant, which features a dynamic Doug Braithwaite illustration of the series’ main character, Rai, set against a red mirrored background, all on tempered glass. It was crafted by Valiant Director of Design and Production, Travis Escarfullery, and even sports the illusion of a 3D effect, making it look like Rai is reaching out to the reader!
 

“Doug created this great dynamic image of Rai so I wanted to make it pop, making it look like the character was emerging from the glass,” said Escarfullery. “The red mirror effect in the background also helps to achieve the effect. A lot of the credit also has to go to our printer, who help make our crazy ideas become reality!”
 
The first issue in the five-issue series is available to pre-order now at comic book stores everywhere in advance of its May 1, 2019 premiere date. Along with the Glass Variant Cover, FALLEN WORLD #1 features covers by Jonboy Meyers, AJ Jothikumar, and Koi Turnbull. A Pre-order Edition cover by David Mack and a blank cover are also available.
 
In FALLEN WORLD, it is the year 4002. A cyborg samurai named Rai struggles to find his morality, while the nanite-filled supersoldier Bloodshot is on a mission to save the citizens of Earth. Retailers should note that one copy of the FALLEN WORLD #1 Glass Variant Cover can be obtained for every qualifying order of 250 copies of FALLEN WORLD #1. There is no limit per store—250 copies ordered will net one glass cover, 500 will net two glass covers, and so forth.
