SDCC@HOME: IGN announce live stream schedule, featuring Comic-Con panels and exclusive content

Next week, San Diego Comic-Con rolls out their ‘virtual con’ – SDCC@HOME – over the days in Summer when the event would have been taking place for real: Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th July; Preview Night, Wednesday 22nd July 2020.

A whole raft of video content will be posted to the Comic-Con International YouTube and Twitch channels, with all the separate content getting their own individual links – however, it’s looking like there may be an easier way to enjoy what SDCC has to offer with IGN producing a continuous livestream of curated selections of the content, along with its own exclusive interviews and videos.

So, while CCI can schedule its posts and retire to the pub, the hardworking team at IGN will be on camera from 10am to 6pm PT deach day of the con. All the hard work they usually put in, in a hotel room in Downtown San Diego, replicated in an L.A. edit suite. Comic-Con without the hotel pool! Boo!

The IGN listings include:

  • …exclusive interviews with the cast and crews of shows and films such as Amazon Prime’s TRUTH SEEKERS, Netflix’s PROJECT POWER, Lionsgate’s G-LOC and SyFy’s WYNONNA EARP
  • …livestream sessions with the IGN crew, updating audiences with the latest in pop culture news and headlines
  • …and more to come – they’re not going to shoot their entire load just yet, not when SDCC@HOME is still finding space for last-minute additions (THE NEW MUTANTS? Well, aren’t you a surprise…)

These are only highlights, for now, but expect more info between now and next Thursday – looks like the hectic running around between panel rooms at SDCC will now equate to frantic flipping between YouTube links…!
