Well… Kinda. Sorta.
We’re fans of GalaxyCon Live, you know we are. We like what they are attempting to do with the whole concept of a virtual comic con, selling unique experiences for fans to directly interact with their pop culture idols. It’s the New Normal for those that are missing their photo op and signature meet-and-greets and it’s bold and it’s exciting. Salute! Hallelujah!
Now, about comics talent. Getting people to shell out for those has always been a bit of a problem. What with sales of comics consistently declining and the profile of the artform still not getting that bump from, ooh I dunno, all these films and television shows and multimedia based on our favourite four-colour floppies goddamn it!, it seems it’s still the pop culture element that can get the tickets sold with only the top tier rockstars of comics – Rob Liefeld, Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Alex Ross and the like – that will actually get fans to part with some cash.
Still, this won’t stop GCL co-founder Mike Broder from representing hard on the conventions Facebook page, interviewing some absolute comics superstars, with the likes of Jim Shooter and artist Gustavo Duarte already in the can… and more to come. Such as…

Tim Seeley is the creator of HACK/SLASH, co-creator of MONEY SHOT and REVIVAL, and is the current managing editor of Heavy Metal Magazine. He has also written HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE MULTIVERSE and co-writer of THE ART OF HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, with other writing and artist credits including Grayson, Nightwing, Batman Eternal, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, G.I. Joe vs. Transformers, and New Exiles.
Paolo Belfiore is the owner of Cadence Comic Art. Paolo is the artist representative for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Tim Seeley, Robbi Rodriguez, Sara Pichelli, Joelle Jones, Becky Cloonan, Rafael Albuquerque, Jenny Frison, Gustavo Duarte, Jeff Lemire, Aaron Kuder, Declan Shalvey, and dozens more!
