There are currently many things that are extremely popular in our nerdy community, with so many how do we know what we should actually spend our time on?
Well, one of these popular things that has stolen all of my attention since I was able to download it (it takes up so much space on my phone), is a mobile app called Love & Deep Space. I have seen an insane amount of TikTok edits about the guys in this game and different moments with each of them and the main character (you) from the main story. I tried once to download the game and after a day of loading it wouldn’t open, so I deleted it. My next and final try was weeks later, and I did so after cleaning up the apps on my phone. Finally, enough room to download everything I needed and start playing.
This was a mistake. A big mistake. I have spent days and countless hours on this game and am now on level 76 and I’m still in book one of the game. I did “cheat” twice, by opening book two and four and going through (reading?) a few of the episodes to gain access to more characters (and to have them as my own too). I now have all five guys (with hints that another one is soon to drop), and a new appreciation for the people who work on these games. Because this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, it is also extremely detailed for a mobile game.
For the basics of knowing what this game is about, is that you as the main character have five male love interests. You do not have to choose between them, and they do not talk about each other or really interact with each other. It’s as if you are having separate romances with all of them at the same time, you can put more effort into one character you favorite if you so choose. It is more fun to peruse them all and unlock dates, battle attacks, memories, and history you share with them. Because in some way or form, you as the main character have a past (or another life/reincarnation/personal romantic history) with each of the characters. The five male leads are Zayne, Xavier, Rafayel, Sylus, and Caleb (with a new one on the way). There is also a main plot and books and chapters you go through as you progress through the game.

I know this seems like a lot of complex things, and there is a lot of storyline and dialogue at times in the game. But there are also more battles you have with these characters on your side as you fight against “wanders”, a beast that you slowly learn more and more about as the story progresses.
Since I have started playing it, I have been infecting everyone I know to also start playing this game as well. Many of whom spam me, just as I spam them with funny memes/edits and merch of the game and characters. Besides all of this, the game really is fun, time consuming and interesting. I have a great time explaining the game in person to people, one of my best friends said it sounds like I’m talking about men I’m dating. Mostly because the characters call, facetime and text you, and you can go on dates with them where you play claw machine games and cards. So, at times I sound like a crazy person.
I am also a player who is playing favorites all the time, Sylus has always been my main focus since seeing a few edits of him (and everyone I know hounding me about starting the game to get him). But yes, I love Sylus and would do anything for him. I also am starting to fall for Caleb and have already been crushing on Zayne since I started the game. Xavier and Rafayel on the other hand…Xavier is just so young and sleepy, but I need to go on more dates with him to find out more about him and his lore. Rafayel though…He is a drama queen and wants all your attention all the time. This is fine when you’re out on dates with him, he takes over the games and tries to cheat against me (or won’t give me a turn). But, there’s somebody for everybody and he has his moments where he gets all swoon worthy (hahaha).
I would also like to say, that I have been grinding away on a lot of side quests to earn more rewards and unlock some new stuff. But, because of this I have started to have a new appreciation for Xavier and Rafayel, and am starting to like them more than I thought I could. These guys just sneak up on you, you know?
Again, as someone who doesn’t play games, this has been a lot of fun. I enjoy the story and most of the stories/dialogue in the game, the fights are a lot of fun too (it really is mostly fighting in this game). The interaction with the characters is insane as well and I really enjoy it, wild that a game character can Facetime me. If you haven’t heard of this game, or even if you have. Go check it out and play it a bit for some fun, but remember that the game takes up a lot of space (a LOT).
