Where do I even begin? Dragon Con 2026 was the best event all year! I got to meet Critical Role critters all over the con in my Vax’ildan cosplay, attend a dozen fun panels, and make it into my first year doing the Bunny Hutch party. And I got to do all of that while running into my friends and making a few new ones along the way.
One of the most fun panels to make it to was Dragon Con’s Taskmaster panel, where attendees were randomly selected to engage in small challenges like those in the popular series of the same name. We got front row seats, and while we weren’t selected to participate this year, we got a close-up on the contestants running around for all the panel’s challenges.
The Bunny Hutch party was super fun too! Jeffrey Venture and I went with our Frog and Toad cosplay, adjusted for the party so that he was Sexy Bunny Frog and I was Punk Bunny Toad. People get so creative with they bunnify their cosplays for the party, with my favorites including Sexy Doug Dimmadome Bunny, Hocus Pocus Witch Trio Bunnies, Sex Spongebob Bunny, and the huge group of Sexy Waffle House Server Bunnies.
My husband, Jeffrey Venture, tried out for the Master Dungeon Master competition this year and placed 3rd out of 40+ other dungeon masters! It was one of the big highlights of my con this year to see him perform as a finalist during the panel, and I am so happy so many people got to see that he’s the great dungeon master I’ve known he is.
Monday of Dragon Con has been the day we take our daughter (now 5 years old) out with us, and it’s always fun to see the con through her eyes. Her favorite activities revolve around getting swag and making a longer ribbon train than her Dada, and she gets showered with all the love and trinkets from other congoers when they see her in her Elsa cosplay.
Dragon Con is just the best. Can’t wait for next year (September 2nd-6th 2027)!
