San Diego Comic-Con celebrates its Fiftieth Anniversary in 2019 (Thursday 18th – Sunday 21st July 2019; Wednesday 17th July), with a legacy of embracing unique and creative voices in pop culture throughout its entire history. It’s rather fitting, then, that BOOM! Studios are fully embracing that enduring legacy with two panels that celebrate the incredible contribution of diverse writers and artists.
The L.A.-based publisher has teamed up with GLAAD to present an important and essential presentation to the SDCC panel schedule with a discussion on the value and importance of representation of the LGBTQ community in comics and pop culture – something that we wholeheartedly support here at The Convention Collective.
That, and a panel featuring a superstar line-up of BOOM! published talent (including Kieron Gillen, Lev Grossman, Carly Usdin and Sina Grace) along with some wonderful exclusive variant covers and exclusives, and BOOM!
