When the Disney and 20th Century Fox deal closed earlier this year, it was only a matter of time of until some of the (former) Fox properties were being advertised by Disney.
The first major announcement was that some of the shows that Fox has aired would be on the new Disney+ service that is scheduled to debut on November 12th (In the U.S.). Most notably on that list was The Simpsons which has been a mainstay on Fox for 30 years.
Today it was announced that The Simpsons would be featured at their own panel at D23 Expo, which is not really a surprise given that show still has a large fan base.
Scheduled to be at the panel will be some of the executives involved in the show including Matt Groening, Al Jean, Matt Selman, Mike B. Anderson, as well as stars Nancy Cartwright & Yeardley Smith.
The panel will take place on the Saturday of D23 Expo (August 24) at 10 a.m. in the D23 Expo Arena, and according to the press release below attendees can “expect lots of surprises, including an exclusiv Simpsons collectible item”.
There will also be a chance to to meet Matt Groening and the rest of the panelists as part of a one-hour autograph signing session right after the panel. They will be signing a special mini-poster available exclusively at the event.
As someone who has been watching The Simpsons for a majority of their 30 or so years on the air, this panel is definitely one on my radar to attend this year.

A few lucky fans will even get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet Matt Groening and the rest of the panelists during a one-hour autograph signing session of an exclusive TheSimpsons mini-poster following the panel.
