I have been reading the light novels for Bride of the Barrier Master for a few years now and I am so excited to finally see it in anime! It is such an exciting time with all of these popular series getting made into anime, and Bride of the Barrier Master is a great choice! Hana Ichise is such a good main female lead! She is so resilient, strong, and honestly doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her (as long as they only think she is not worthy of notice). With her personality and goals being what they are, it makes for a very funny and romantic story (but still jam packed with lots of action!).

With the TV anime scheduled to start airing in Japan in January 2027, “Bride of the Barrier Master” is a popular superpower × Japanese-style romantic fantasy series that started as a light novel by Kureha, now boasting over 2.5 million copies in publication.
On this occasion, we are pleased to announce the release of the 3rd teaser visual and teaser promotional video, as well as the scheduled streaming on Netflix and other platforms.
The 3rd teaser visual marks the appearance of the main character Hana’s older twin sister “Hazuki Ichise”, who was raised bearing the weight of their parents’ expectations. Paired with her neglected younger sister Hana, who has been seen as a failure, this visual beautifully expresses the emotional rift between the sisters.
Additionally, the released teaser promotional video also unveils the newly added characters and their voice actors. The main character Hana’s older twin sister “Hazuki Ichise” will be voiced by Kanon Takao; the head of the Ichinomiya family, Saku’s younger brother “Nozomu Ichinomiya” by Hiroto Shimizu; Hana’s shikigami “Azuha” by Yuzuki Tamukai, “Aoi” by Taihi Kimura, and “Miyabi” by M・A・O.
This Japanese-style romantic fantasy tells the story of a young girl Hana, who has been compared to her talented elder twin sister and is disdained as a failure of a practitioner. Pressured into contractual marriage by the head of the main clan, Saku, she starts to make efforts to finally live as her true self. The animation production is by TROYCA.
