What it’s about: If you think it’s just a dummy, the real dummy might be you! When a young woman comes across a creepy mannequin she can’t seem to escape she discovers it might be the end of the line for her and her friends. Don’t look away. It might be the last time you do!
What Corey thought: I thought this was a fun and creepy movie. Right off the bat you are thrown into action with a wild kill scene in a moving truck. It’s a setup that makes your jaw drop and sets the tone rather quickly! Haha! From there you have all the creepy feels that make a horror movie good. That grainy old school filming quality. The trippy industrial rock soundtrack. The freaked out early 20’s group of friends that has no idea what they’re in for.
It plays like a cross between It Follows and Puppet Master which are two of my favorites I might add. There are plenty of jump scares and you won’t get off easy if you’re looking for a movie that’s low anxiety.
The director keeps the tension dialed up to max and follows it up with an even creepier twist as you near the end! I don’t want to ruin it but if you love horror movies and are looking for something unique and different, this is one you can’t afford to miss this fall! The next time you see a mannequin in a store I have a feeling you will think twice before taking your eyes off it!
