Title: Open Your Eyes
DirectorGreg A. Sager
CastRy Barrett, Joanna Saul, Julianna Suzanne Bailey, Suzy Giannakopoulos, and Heather May
Movie length: 1 hours 39 minutes

I have to say Open Your Eyes took me for a ride, the first thirty or so minutes I really had no idea what was going on and I was a bit bored. Now that said I assure you as a viewer that it does get better, it had sort of the original Saw film feel to it as you get further in. Ry Barrett (The Heretics) does a wonderful job as the lead and really the only character in the film next to Joanna Saul who plays the potential love interest. I can’t say too much about this film without going into spoiler territory, however I can say this was one of those films that once you get to the end you will be shocked and set back by it. When you get to the point in the movie where you understand what is going on there is a certain scene that will make you not want to partake in a chicken dinner anytime soon.

It was very beautifully shot; the colors were nice and the camera movements were spot on for getting into the characters mind and showing the viewer what may be going on. The only downside as I said was getting through that first thirty to forty minutes where you have no idea what is going on. I give this film an 8 out of 10 and would recommend a watch. It was slow but the enchanting style of film making and the way the actors portrayed what was going on completely made up for it’s slow start.

Open Your Eyes is now available on various VOD services as well as on Blu-Ray and DVD.
