I can’t believe it’s time for another season of The Rising of the Shield Hero, but I can’t wait to see the new season. It looks so good, and the gang looks like they are up against some tough foes!

The TV anime “The Rising of the Shield Hero”, based on a light novel by Aneko Yusagi (published by MF Books “The Rising of the Shield Hero” KADOKAWA) had its first TV anime airing in 2019, followed by “Season 2” in 2022, “Season 3” in 2023, and “Season 4” in 2025.
During the Crunchyroll Industry Panel held on July 3rd local time at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, USA, the teaser promotional video and visuals for Season 5 were released, accompanied by the announcement of Season 5’s scheduled airing in 2027.

Season 5’s main staff were revealed in the teaser promotional video.
Hitoshi Haga, who directed Season 3, Season 4 and Season 5, has provided his comment.
