This week’s news from Valiant Comics include a preview of INCURSION #2 from Alex Paknadel, Andy Diggle, and Doug Braithwaite, previews of variant covers for PUNK MAMBO #1, as well as previews of the upcoming THE FORGOTTEN QUEEN #2 & LIVEWIRE #4.
Last week the first issue of Incursion hit shelves, and this week a preview of the second issue was released.
The issue from the team of Paknadel, Diggle, and Braithwaite will be released on March 20th and have four different cover versions.
Punk Mambo #1 is set for release on April 24th (read our review here) and this week previews of two variant covers for the title from the team of writer Cullen Bunn, artist Adam Gorham, colorist Jose Villarubia, and letterer by Dave Sharpe.
The variant covers from artist Trav Hart pay tribute to Iron Maiden’s 1980 release artwork on “Sanctuary” by artist Derek Riggs, and are a collaboration between Valiant and A Sound of Thunder.
Wrapping up the news this week are previews of LIVEWIRE #4 from the team of writer Vita Ayala, artists Raul Allen and Patricia Martin, and letterer Saida Temofonte, and THE FORGOTTEN QUEEN #2 that was written by Tini Howard with art by Amilcar Pinna, colors by Ulises Arreola, and letters by Jeff Powell.
Look for Livewire #4 on March 13th and the second issue of the four part Forgotten Queen series on March 27th.

Valiant Entertainment and A Sound of Thunder Unveil PUNK MAMBO #1 Exclusive Covers

New York, NY ( March 1, 2019) – Comics publisher Valiant Entertainment and metal band A Sound of Thunder are teaming up to offer collectible comics paying homage to classic Iron Maiden cover art.
The special editions of the debut issue of Valiant’s upcoming title PUNK MAMBO comic feature exclusive cover artwork by Trav Hart that pays homage to the classic album cover of Maiden’s 1980 single, “Sanctuary,” by artist Derek Riggs.
The PUNK MAMBO #1 Iron Maiden Homage Variants will be available in two limited editions:
– Full-Color Variant (Limited to 300 copies)
– Black-and-White Variant (Limited to 100 copies)
