We’re big fans of Sheffield-based printers Vice Press and have been for some time – when we visited their headquarters on their Open Day back in July, we spoke to founders James Henshaw and Matt Ferguson, they teased about a big announcement relating to a ‘classic British property’. Today, they’ve revealed what that property is… Or, should we say, are because they cover a number of IP’s under a legendary banner: Gerry & Sylvia Anderson.
This first salvo of collectable art prints and enamel pins will be of much interest to fans of THUNDERBIRDS and SPACE: 1999, with many other shows being represented down the line, which means we will be seeing prints of STINGRAY and CAPTAIN SCARLET down the line, possibly followed by JOE 90, UFO, FIREBALL XL5 and others. TERRAHAWKS? Ooh, this writer rather hopes so!
These first prints and pins will be available from Monday 30th September 2019, a day that is already being recognised as ‘Thunderbirds Day’ with events, screenings and signings taking place across the country, along with restored THUNDERBIRDS 1965 stories coming to YouTube.
The prints – by master artists Henrik Sahlstrom, Raid71 and Jake Lynch – and pins will be in high demand, considering that they will be available in a limited edition run. Best of luck when they go live on the Vice Press website. And remember: anything can happen in the next half hour…
