W0RLDTR33 #4 review (Tynion IV, Blanco, Bellaire, Bidikar) Image Comics – A twist that nobody saw coming

Writer: James Tynion IV
Penciler: Fernando Blanco
Colorist: Jordie Bellaire
Letterer: Aditya Bidikar
Edits: Steve Foxe
Designer: Dylan Todd

Thanks to Image Comics for the review copy!

The groundbreaking horror title from Tynion IV continues as we take a step back in time 20 years to the very discovery of the Undernet and the birth of the W0rldtr33 message board. Ph34R continues on her murderous rampage eliminating anyone in her path. A conversation with Gabriel at the end of the issue leads to a shocking encounter and twist that could turn the tables on everything we knew up until this point…

Wow! Wow! Wow! I feel like I have said that each issue so far but it’s been warranted. This book just keeps pushing boundaries. James proves again and again he knows how to build a world around interesting characters and emotionally charged story telling. Add in the tension, gore, sex, and some of the best art, colors, and lettering I’ve seen all year and this book just keeps getting better and better. I can’t begin to mention all the WTF moments in this book but it’s plenty! It’s gorgeous to look at. I just love it. It’s sexy, profound, lavish and disturbing. It grabs hold of you and doesn’t let go and when it finally does your left on your knees begging for more! Then, when you literally can’t take any more, they hit you over the head with that twist that nobody saw coming. If this doesn’t sound like a book you should be reading, I’m not sure how else to convince you! Check this out ASAP!

My rating 10/10 – Superb!!
