At San Diego Comic-Con this year, Wattpad and Den of Geek are teaming up for a meetup that writers may want to check out. The event will take place at the Mission Brewery (1441 L St, San Diego, CA 92101) on Friday, July 24th from 4pm-7pm. The event is in a brewery so 21 and over only are allowed.

The convention center might be closing for the day, but your post-panel creative spark is just getting started. Got an alternate universe living rent-free in your mind? A canon-divergence WIP haunting your drafts? Or maybe you just want to debate your wildest headcanon over a drink with friends! This is the perfect after-hours vibe for you. Wattpad and Den of Geek are taking over Mission Brewery and transforming it into the ultimate writing lounge.
Led by Wattpad’s Head of Content, this is an creative, writer-focused evening where the best stories start with a prompt, a page, and a pint. Whether you’re a seasoned author, a hobbyist, an aspiring novelist, or a fanfic enthusiast, your people are here.

The Wattpad and Den of Geek teams will select one winning story to receive up to a four-page printed excerpt in an upcoming issue of Den of Geek magazine—complete with professionally commissioned artwork!
