Director: Timo Tjahjanto
Starring: Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, John Ortiz, RZA, Colin Hanks, Christopher Lloyd, and Sharon Stone
Movie Length: 1 hour 39 minutes

What it’s about: A sequel to 2021’s Nobody which sees Odenkirk’s Hutch Mansell take his family on vacation…but trouble seems to find them and the family must fend off more bad guys.
What Dan thought: Before 2021’s Nobody I wouldn’t have thought Bob Odenkirk could be an action star. That movie (and this one) further cement the fact that he can be.
From the opening credits (which mirror the original’s interrogation scene) to the closing credits, the movie moves at a non-stop pace filled with action (and lots of deaths, some of which are a bit inventive, but you’d expect that from Derek Kolstad who was a writer on all the John Wick films). The returning cast including Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, RZA, and the always great Christopher Lloyd were terrific, and the addition of Sharon Stone as the main villain rounded out a great main cast.
Of course a good action movie with lots of fights, and stunts needs two things, a good fight coordinator, and a good stunt coordinator. Kirk A. Jenkins (whose credits for stunts include a few MCU movies Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Avengers: Endgame, and the first Nobody movie as the fight coordinator) absolutely delivers as the fight coordinator. The stunt coordinator, Rick Skene (whose credits for stunts go back to the late 1980’s) made sure the stunts were safe and intense to watch.
The soundtrack was terrific including the use of a Celine Dion song in a fight scene (never thought I’d hear that…) thanks to frequent David Leitch collaborator Dominic Lewis. The soundtrack kept the movie flowing through a very fun and entertaining 98 minute runtime.
Dan’s rating: 8/10. If you’re looking for an action packed, well paced, popcorn type movie to avoid the heat, this is one you should see.
