With Emerald City Comic Con fast approaching I am beyond excited to see my convention/cosplay friends. It really feels like it’s been months since we all got to see each other, and ECCC is always a guaranteed blast.
With all the after parties being held around the convention throughout the whole weekend, and by the convention itself…the late night side of the con is looking like it too will be a lot of fun. I always find it fun to walk around the convention center (either the old building or especially the new one) and do some late night photoshoots in normally congested areas. Great for everyone coming to show off their amazing cosplays they have been hard at work on!
As always, I have a packed schedule of panels that I will try to check out (I’m going to ideally try for one a day). I also have a cosplay meetup I’m in charge of (but in reality, I just signed up for the group I’m in who’s all doing it together), on Saturday. My Hero Academia, “Heroes and Villains Gather!” Being held at the Summit building level 3, garden terrace at 12:30-1:30.I think this meet up will turn out pretty fun, the cosplayers going are already a hoot!
Back to panels, I mostly have cosplay, photography, booktok, and some of the big events I want to hit up while at con. I’m also trying to sneak in a few interviews here and there to share with you all. As for the biggest events I want to check out are the Rebecca Yarros book signings happening almost everyday of the convention, she’s the writer for Fourth Wing that took the book world by storm not too long ago. I think the “lingerie and cosplay” show would be an interesting 18+ event to see, and a fun way to start off the evening. My other two biggest panels I really want to see are the
“Avatar: The Last Airbender Cast Reunion”. I’m hoping to get a good amount of the new live action show watched before I go to the panel this weekend, because I really want to know about the comparison and how the OG cast feels. Then there’s the Twilight cast reunion, not the whole cast but a good amount of the Cullen family will be there.
It’s shaping up to be a super fun weekend, and I can’t wait to share on social media and in more articles all the fun that’s being had this coming weekend at Emerald City Comic Con!
