I’ve recently had a career change which brought my social life roaring back to life, so I’ve been finding it hard to have time to read anything. But, I have always been a fan of WEBTOONS and have found myself on their app in almost all of my short free time moments throughout my busy days.
WEBTOON is a free app where you can read webcomics online, you can pay to get more coins and unlock episodes (chapters) sooner than they are available for free (which I have been doing like crazy recently). I really love how big their library is. I jump in between romance, fantasy, drama, and action all the time now. I just keep adding more and more series to my shelf on the app and can’t wait for my email to ping with a new episode (or chapter if you will). Even just thinking about it now, my fingers are itching to reach out and check what’s going on in some of the series I’m reading (when all I want to do is read!).
There are so many really great series on this app that I want to talk about, but I’m going to just narrow it down to a few (for now…). Now, these are the series I always recommend to people right away (and have caused us all to stay up late into the wee hours of the early morning reading). The series I have completely fallen in love with have been Daytime Star (I read this in a day, a day folks! And am about to start my reread of it). This series does take a little bit before the plot picks up, but it is hands down an all time favorite of mine!!! It’s about daytime tv and an actress just trying to make her big break in the business (almost like a happier Skip Beat, an older manga about acting). Very contemporary, and filled with a slow burn romance that had me biting my nails waiting for anything to happen (I cried so many happy tears for the main couple all the time).
Then there is Marry My Husband, I could just start screaming thinking about this one. I have been telling all my friends about this series and before I’m even done talking (like a sentence or two in) they are always downloading the app and adding the webcomic to their shelf (all have read it now too). This is a webcomic full of drama, romance, and revenge. I’m obsessed and love it to pieces, it’s just like a k-drama I would want to watch (I really hope it gets a drama one day).
Lastly, for this article anyway, is Twilight Poem. Talk about romance, fantasy, suspense, horror, and just heart wrenching plot lines. Ugh, I love it so much. I was just up till 2AM the other night unlocking all the episodes I could to keep reading to see what happens. I am honestly on the edge of my seat in this story right now. I can barely handle thinking about it, because if I do I burst into tears trying to come up with how the series will end (since it seems near).
I could go on and on for days, but I will settle for multiple articles recommending you all new series to check out on the app and share my thoughts on what I’m currently reading on there. What I’m getting at here folks is that I’m about to be annoying, and that WEBTOON has some really great and beautiful series you all need to read asap!
