Director: Christopher Landon
Starring: Meghann Fahy, Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, and Jeffery Self
Movie Length: 1 hour 35 minutes

What it’s about: A psychological thriller about a widowed lady who while out on a date starts getting mysterious messages to her cellphone that culminate in the sender wanting her to kill someone.
What Dan thought: Going into the movie I knew next to nothing about the movie, which helped my enjoyment of the movie. From the first message Violet receives the audience (and her) are trying to figure out who is sending them, and why. The movie is definitely a thriller (which coming from the same director as the Happy Death Day movies and Freaky) is too be expected (who would have thought Michael Landon’s kid would be so great behind the camera for these types of movies.)
The score was also deserving of a mention as once again Bear McCreary did an excellent job with the score helping the tension in the scenes throughout the movie. Also, the fact that 90% of the movie took place in one room helped a lot…and what a great setting it was.
The main cast all did a great job, but I have to mention how well of a job Jeffrey Self did as Matt (the waiter who was serving Violet and Henry) with his comedic performance, which garnered quite a few laughs from myself the audience.
All in all, if you’re looking for a great thriller this is 100% a movie you should go see in the theaters.
