What it’s about: A bit of a rumptious twist and social commentary on the 80’s slasher genre. When a bunch of Delta Bi dudes are murdered one by one they realize a previously killed (twice) serial killer, Motherface, is back yet again to wreak havoc and destroy their partying spirit.
What Corey Thought: Admittedly I hadn’t originally seen this when it came out the first time in 2015. It’s a silly and fun little flick! It had all the feels of staying up late in the 80’s and watching all the b-movies I could get my hands on from the local “Your Video” store. It’s funny, cheesy, crude, seriously bloody and just chock full of fun.
I love the twist and commentary on the genre by having an all male fraternity being hunted down by a female serial killer named Motherface! haha! Oh and calling them the Delta Bi’s was pretty clever too! It’s funny watching a bunch of dudebros running around scared and pathetically stupid.
There’s a lot of tired old tropes made fresh again in this little b-movie homage. It’s just a really clever film in general. Oh, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the killer 80’s soundtrack, sound effects and that grainy VHS filming to really sell it. It’s like if Animal House and Porkies met on Friday the 13th and Troma crashed the party. This is the VHS tape you have been looking for!
