This year at San Diego Comic-Con, we had a number of correspondents with ‘boots on the ground’, doing their best to take in as much of the sights and sounds of the show as possible, checking out a number of the panels and also interviewing some really cool and interesting creatives, dotted around the show.

One of these was our Senior US Correspondent Dan Berry and he was very lucky to get time to chat with the creator of the biggest baddie of the biggest film of all time, Thanos – yes, legendary comics writer/artist Jim Starlin was in San Diego for the moment when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was able to announce that AVENGERS: ENDGAME had overtaken AVATAR to become the highest-grossing film in history.
This conversation serves almost as a sequel to the chat that Convention Collective EIC Leonard Sultana had with Jim, mere hours before the film had had its international premiere – here, Dan is able to talk a little more fully about the impact of the storyline, his feelings on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what they may have planned (especially in regards to possible drawing from more of his source material), and of course that brief cameo in AVENGERS: ENDGAME itself.
Jim also talks about other creative endeavours that he has on the boil in 2019, as well as the sights and sounds that’s currently attracting his attention – thanks to Jim for taking the time to talk to us, and to Dan and Paul Christensen from PAL Public Relations for helping setting up the interview. Enjoy!!
