Classic PC RPG games including Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment and Neverwinter Nights will make their debut on home consoles this year, Skybound Games and Beamdog announced today.
Having played some of those games on PCs, I can’t wait to see the new and improved versions later this year.
Beamdog, the Canadian video game publisher founded by Trent Oster and Cameron Tofer (who worked together at BioWare) originally published the games for PCs. Their partnership with Robert Kirkman’s Skybound games will see the classic games brought back to life as enhanced versions sometimes in 2019.
For those of you will be attending PAX East in Boston from March 28-31st, you’ll have the opportunity to play some of Beamdog’s games at the Skybound Games booth.
