While there are some obvious absentees (*cough*, Hasbro, LEGO *cough*) when it comes to companies producing exclusive items for Comic-Con International‘s ‘virtual con’ – SDCC@HOME – there are some companies that are seriously stepping up and making their mark.
And it’s looking like, once again, Gentle Giant Ltd. is deliberately and systematically targeting my wallet as a die-hard Skottie Young fan with the announcement of a SDCC 2020 MARVEL ANIMATED-STYLE ELEKTRA STATUE which, while not mentioning Skottie by name, is based in design off his variant cover.
Elektra joins a very tasty, detailed sculpt bust of the original Joe Johnson and Ralph McQuarrie concept art design of STAR WARS‘ own nefarious Mandalorian bounty hunter, Boba Fett, which comes in a stunning 1/6 scale bust.
The Elektra clocks in $49.99 in a 250 piece limited run, while the Boba Fett bust is $120 in a 500 piece run – the latter will be offered up to Gentle Giant Ltd. Premier Guild members first so don’t expect this item to be lingering around too long. It’s stunningly gorgeous and, as such, will be highly sought after.
They’re going to be made available for purchase during SDCC@HOME (Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th July; Preview Night, Wednesday 22nd July 2020), with the Boba Fett being available online from this Monday, but fans can pre-order now to get in the front of the line…
