With just over two weeks until one of my favorite conventions of the year kicks off in Anaheim, a preview of the show is in order.
The 13th annual show which I’ve often referred to as “artist alley on steroids”, will move for the first time to Anaheim and the Anaheim Convention Center after 12 previous incarnations in Pasadena.
This year the show will be bigger then ever before thanks to a larger venue (at over 350,000 square feet), some large vendors making their inaugural trip to the show including Mondo, Funko, and more.
In addition the Saturday night after party which was always a good time gets even bigger thanks to Chevy Metal (which includes Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters fame) set to perform at the party.
All in all, the show this year I expect to be the best one yet, and I can’t wait to see what all they have planned.
Today, the full panel lineup was announced, along with previews of some of the exclusives from Medicom (including a partnership with Funko), and a Jurassic Park themed art show.
The panels this year include some from such notable creators as Antonio Canobbio and Ben Gruber from Titmouse. In addition notable artists J*Ryu, JPK, Camilla D’errico, Doktor A, and Godmachine will be on a panel presented by Kidrobot.
For more info on all the panels, check out the full schedule here.
