For years, years…I have been dealing with the worst case of FOMO I’ve ever had in my life; I only get this feeling once a year. All because of Anime Expo, and how hard it is to see all the cool stuff happening and not being able to be there in person to see it all. For the first time ever, I WILL NOT be feeling it! Because I’M GOING TO ANIME EXPO!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy in my life. This has been my dream convention for as long as I can remember and for the first time ever, I get to attend. I feel like a hyper little kid being like I have to see everything and do everything all at once, and I am so ready to be worn out by the end of Anime Expo. I will be putting my many years of experience in convention going to the ultimate test, I will be trying to use all my skills to be as smart and safe as possible while attending.
Packing my con going bag smartly, with extra things for anything I could need. I keep checking my list of what I need and what would be smart to have, definitely sunscreen, water bottle, deodorant (duh), snacks, and most importantly a Celsius (well, many Celsius).
Because this is the convention of the season (for anime), there are a lot of amazing panels and premieres that will be happening. This is now the time to clone myself so that I can be at every big panel and also check out all the vendors. I do not want to miss anything at all.
The biggest panels I’ll be busting my butt to get too early are, Chainsaw Man-The Movie: Reize Arc, Gachiakuta US Premiere, Demon Slayer 6th anniversary celebration, Bleach: Thousand- Year Blood War, The Apothecary Diaries, The Summer Hikaru Died North American Premiere, New Panty & Stockings with Garterbelt (read my post about it here), My Hero Academia Special event, One Punch Man season 3 panel, Dan Da Dan panel, Jujutsu Kaisen special event, Kaiju No.8 panel, and Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun: Special premiere. I know that this is a long list but above all else I need to be at these panels and premieres, these are the biggest things happening at Anime Expo (I’m so excited).
There are a few other panels and things I want to check out while at con such as the Love and Deepspace panel, Lobotomy Kaisen, Beyblade (apparently this is huge at con now), and TOKYOPOP panel. There are even more than this, lots of industry panels I want to check out. Although, I do know myself and I always have a hard time getting pulled away from the show floor in time for the panels. Annoying alarms will be set a half hour a head of time (even thinking about it and how I can get lost, I will set it for an hour ahead of time).
I’m also trying to play this con as smart as I possibly can, only spending money on things I won’t be able to get anywhere else. Picking up convention exclusives and stuff from vendors I won’t be able to see again and obviously anything I see of my new hyper fixation. Yes, that’s right. I need everything from K-Pop Demon Hunters (read my review here) that I can find and get my hands on.
To say the least, I am EXCITED for this convention. I feel a little like I’m planning war tactics to make sure my friend and I are able to hit up all the things we want to see and do. So, I am very jittery about traveling and just being there already. I know I’ll be recording, taking thousands of photos and sharing all I can on socials, because I need to have evidence that I really did attend this convention. Knowing myself, I might comeback and wake up thinking it was all a really good dream.
If you are attending Anime Expo this holiday weekend, please take care of yourself and have a blast!!!!!!
