My Road To My First San Diego Comic-Con – Part 2

As we get closer and closer to San Diego Comic-Con, I’m getting more and more excited! This is my second part in my road to SDCC post. If you missed the first part here’s the link.

I feel like Darryl from The Office when he’s trying to prank Andy, because I keep looking at the camera when people ask me if I’m ready for SDCC. Shaking my head and saying, still no plan (and 31 days left). That pretty much has summed up my many months leading up to the biggest con I’ve ever gone to, until now.

That’s right folks! This girl finally has about 12% of a plan (a little Marvel joke there), and has figured out her cosplay plan. I’m also not just talking about San Diego Comic-Con, I’m talking about Dragon Con and Kumoricon too. I guess when it rains it pours.

For SDCC I know what I’ll be bringing for now, things could always change from a mishap, so fingers crossed that doesn’t happen. I’ll be bringing two to three cosplays from One Piece (my true love), and the same goes for Hell’s Paradise (a new love for the past couple of years). I am so excited to jump into these characters, and while some pieces will be bought. All others will be made and hopefully quickly!

In all other news for San Diego Comic-Con, I’m still waiting for my pass to come in the mail (I know it takes a while, but I am so excited to receive it! It should be here very soon!). I am also still waiting for more to come out about who will be there at the con, and what panels will be happening during four and a half days. The official schedule will come out 2 weeks before each day of the con, so I’ll be pouring over each daily schedule to figure out what I want to see!

The only other big news to me so far about the con is that the author of Vinland Saga, Makoto Yukimura, will also be attending for the first time. This is very exciting and I can’t wait! I’m already bingeing the anime and am reading the manga. I hope there is more news of the anime/manga variety (I know there must be), and I’ll be losing my cool every second leading up to walking into the convention itself.

Other than all of this, I have been dreaming of the kind of exclusives I’ll be able to get my hands on and how I’ll have to ship home figures (luckily there is a FedEx right outside of the exhibit floor). Cause there is no way that everything I will want/get will fit in my suitcase.
