Cullen Bunn – superstar comics writer, bon vivant, man’s man, man about town, etc – has been in touch: it appears that he and Image Comics are going all out for the release of his new title under that publisher, UNEARTH, at this weekend’s New York Comic Con (Javits Center, Thursday 3rd-Sunday 6th October 2019).
Along with his creative team of artist Kyle Strahm and colourist Baldemar Rivas, the trio will be launching the new book at a special release event on the Saturday of the show at the Image Comics booth, #1444. Kicking off at 11am in the morning, UNEARTH #1 will get its grand unveiling via a rather spiffy variant cover from artist James Harren.
And also, to whet people’s appetites for the book, the gang have put together an official music video for the series, too – all very multimedia and new content of them. Check out the video above, the James Harren cover below and Cullen’s words below that. And if you land yourself a copy of said book, give yourself a pat on the back because, with the pedigree of talent involved, you’re in for a wild ride… Enjoy.
Cullen Bunn: “Hey folks! We’ve kept quiet about it until now, but Kyle Strahm, Baldemar Rivas, and I are releasing a limited edition variant cover for UNEARTH #1 for New York Comic Con! The cover is by superstar James Harren. We will be having a release event on SATURDAY of the convention at the Image Comics booth. After that (assuming we don’t sell out), we’ll have copies at our artist alley tables…
Release Event: 11-11:45am, Saturday, Oct 5th 2019 @ the Image Comics Booth, New York Comic Con
