While San Diego Comic-Con news will be coming quick over the next few weeks, another convention in San Diego is also making guest announcements.
The next special guest for SD Who Con was announced today, joining the previously announced “Doctor Puppet” Alisa Stern, and Harry Van Gorkum will be actor Jon Davey.
While Whovians may or may not recognize the name of the latest guest, they will recognize some of the characters he’s portrayed. The long list includes various Dalek, Ood, Cybermen, and more in his 10+ years working on various Doctor Who productions.

Davey A Man of Mystery
SAN DIEGO, CA – SD Who Con is pleased to announce that Jon Davey will be a special guest at the 2019 “Who Dunnit?” convention. Who Con is taking place October 4-6 at the Four Points Sheraton on Aero Drive in San Diego.
Davey is well known in Doctor Who circles having portrayed a variety of monsters in 40-plus episodes of Doctor Who since 2005. These include Cybermen, Daleks, Ood, Jadoon, Mire Warriors, Heavenly Host, Hath, and Whispermen. He has performed at numerious live events including “The Doctor Who Proms,” “Doctor Who Live,” and “Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular” in Australia and New Zeland. Davey is also well known for his work on “A Fantastic Fear of Everything” and “The Sarah Jane Adventures.” He is a professional photograph, videographer, and stop motion animator. The SD Who Con started in 2016 as San Diego’s only Doctor Who fan-run convention. The three-day event features guests, cosplay contests, panels, and social activities. There will be a vender room featuring a wide variety of Doctor Who themed merchandise along with a charity auction to benefit the Pegasus Rising Project.
The Pegasus Rising Project is a small all-volunteer group that makes rescued horses available as therapy animals to returning U.S. military veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) to help with healing and social reintegration.
