Siouxpercon, the non-profit fan convention and comic con that usually takes up residence in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is one of the many, many conventions felled by the on-going global COVID-19 pandemic and has been required to take its efforts online.
The smaller event finds itself at the start of a slew of online comic cons over the next month or so, including the likes of LICAF LIVE, Baltimore Comic Con (in association with Mainframe Comic Con), Thought Bubble Digital Comic Con and the behemoth which is ReedPOP’s Metaverse, in place of their cancelled New York Comic Con.
Where Siouxpercon has always leapt ahead, however, is its personal and warm attitude and the sheer approachability and friendliness of its organisers – we’re fully expecting the online version of the show to contain a lot of the charm of its IRL brethren.
But, like with all comic cons – digital or live – the first attraction for getting those off the street and into your convention centre-slash-homepage is the calibre of Special Guests… And thankfully, that warm dememeanor has attracted some amazing talent to Siouxperconline’s roster.
The Presentations will go live over the course of the weekend but a number of these are also up-close-and-personal Zoom ‘Live Panel’ sessions so you may have to register in advance to participate (all times are Central Time):
