In just a handful days, I’ll be going to my first Summer Con. Yes, I know. Another first for me in going to a new convention. I’ll only be going for one day, and mostly trying to relax. I’m excited and also very nervous for this con, since I’m getting pretty stressed because all my other cons are quickly coming up all close together.
There is also an amazing guest list for this con, I mean pretty much the full main cast of My Hero Academia, Death Note, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I wish I could talk with them all, get their signatures, and make it to all of their panels. Sadly, there are no group signings (and all the singles are very pricey), and there will only be the My Hero Academia panel on Saturday. I’m very tempted to get a ticket for Sunday, just for the Death Note panel.
Despite all this, I’m looking forward to just chilling at a con. My friend and I are planning to do a matching cosplay and take photos. Plus we are also going to do something special for our podcast there too.
As for our cosplay, we are still planning it out. I know, it’s not me if I’m not waiting till the last minute to come up with something. Our biggest enemy right now is the weather, it’s going to be pretty hot out. The both of us have a not so great track record for doing the smart thing in weather with our cosplays or cons, i.e. Kumoricon 2022. As my friend puts it, the time I almost died from getting hit with a cold/flu from forgetting to bring jackets with us in November (very cold and rainy).
I do know that we will be doing something for My Hero Academia, and we are hoping to put a twist on our usual characters. Mine is Bakugou and she has about three she flips through that are all great. So, I’m looking forward to seeing what we are going to be able to pull off for a fun one day con.
