What it’s about: All You Need Is Blood is about a group of young filmmakers who want to make a zombie movie.
What Corey thought: I loved this movie! It’s fun, original, goofy, gory, and it doesn’t take itself seriously which just makes it so much more enjoyable. It’s almost as if all the viewers are in on the joke! The whole cast does a great job of selling this ridiculously fun movie and because they appear to be having such a good time making it, you can’t help but fall in love with the story. There’s plenty of gory fun but underneath it all this a movie with a lot of heart and innocence at its core. The cast is perfect. They just have that special type of friendship and connection that is reminiscent of the Goonie days. That’s saying a lot and it makes the movie that much more enjoyable to watch.
Overall the movie is a nice change of pace from all the dark and gloomy horror movies that are a dime a dozen this time of the year. Don’t get me wrong, while I love it all, it’s nice to take a little bit of a break and enjoy something a little less serious during the Halloween season. Especially around election time and with all the other stressful happenings in the world now. Kudos to the director and cast for making something worthwhile, original and light while not forgetting to give us all the usual horror tropes we all enjoy so much. I really enjoyed this movie and if you enjoy horror comedies this should be at the top of your list!
