Right before I started my busy con schedule (SDCC, Dragon Con, WasabiCon, and Rose City Comic Con) I got a very special package which I was waiting for, a box full of new figures from Bandai!
Ever since I learned what mail even was, I loved getting it. No matter if it was junk mail, which I think is saying quite a bit about how excited I get from people sending me mail. But getting mail, a whole big package actually, from Bandai Namco is the best mail to get!
In my special delivery, I received S.H. Figuarts of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake, and Chainsaw Man. I still can’t believe how lucky I was to have gotten these figures, and they all have changeable parts and move. I could not stop myself from putting the most emo/angry look on Sasuke’s face, before setting him up on my figure shelf.
I have always been a really big fan of Naruto, it was my gateway anime/manga into this whole thing (now 19 years later). So, it will always have a special spot in my heart (see I’m not always all about One Piece, I do love other anime). Although, getting these new Naruto figures has now opened me up needing to get my hands on the S.H. Figuarts of Naruto himself to complete team 7. I laugh every time I see the group without him on my shelf, I feel kind of bad.
As for the Chainsaw Man figure, oh boy. I could not get him out of his box fast enough! I ended up shoving aside my section of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure figures to display him in all his glory. Arms raised, chainsaws out and you can almost hear him yelling about how he’s Chainsaw Man and no one can defeat him. I pretty much gave him all the space on the section, and you can see the sassy glares from all the JoJo’s pointed at him. It’s still not enough space for him and the other soon to be put up Chainsaw Man figures I have, so this just means I need to pick up another shelf. Cause now I’ll be picking up more Chainsaw Man S.H. Figuarts that Bandai Namco comes out with, you know to match the one they sent me.
To top this all off, I got to visit their many booths at San Diego Comic-Con and picked up two more figures to talk about with you guys! I bought one of the event exclusives, Naruto limited 2023 Naruto & Sasuke set. This is a mini cat version of Naruto and Sasuke from the anime series Naruto. Super cute and have a special stamp on the back of them! They fit in so well with the baby cat versions of the same characters from an earlier set that came out of the Naruto cat series.
I was then also gifted an Anya “look up” figure, from the anime series Spy x Family. Beside the mini cat series figures being done by Bandai, I have never found a series of figures cuter than the “look up series”. I already have a couple of the One Piece that came out and the Jujutsu Kaisen ones, they fit in the palm of your hand and are just too adorable. So adding Anya to the mix was perfect! I honestly don’t have enough Spy x Family figures, and it makes me a little sad.
I still can’t stop gushing about all these new figures, Bandai Namco is always super reliable and I know no matter what, I’m getting a great figure.
