Thanks to Mad Cave Studios for the review copy!

The first mature reader offering from Mad Cave from the minds of superstars Jimmy Palmiotti and Dave Johnson. Twin billionaire brothers who have become bitter rivals and own the two largest Cola companies in the world become embroiled in a war of espionage, sabotage and murder for hire plots.
Damn! I loved the hell out of this book! One issue in and it’s already one of my favorite books of 2025. I’m super impressed by the quality of the story, the characters, the humor, and just overall the whole feel of the book. Mad Cave waited until now to release a book strictly aimed at adult and mature readers and it was well worth the wait. It was superbly paced, full of energy and wit, and I was honestly bummed when I got to the final page and knew I’d have to wait a month or more until the next issue dropped. In fact, I reached out to my LCS right after I finished it and asked them to set aside one of each of the main covers for me when it’s released. If that doesn’t say I’m excited I’m not sure what does! The art is fantastic as well. It’s bold, bright, and colorful. The action scenes are bold, bright, and spread out over multiple panels. I love the amount of detail and attention drawn into each character’s expressions as well. It works well to help sell the tone of the book and its many switches between humor and seriousness. Pop Kill is just a really fun book that has a little bit of everything and I’d be shocked if you didn’t add this one to your pull list after reading this first issue. If you are a fan of Archer and/or James Bond you won’t want to miss this!
My rating 10/10 – Fantastic!!
