Just like the physical San Diego Comic-Con, surprises come down the pipe on a daily basis all the way to the launch of SDCC@HOME, getting underway next week (Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th July; Preview Night, Wednesday 22nd July 2020).
The latest humdinger is word that we’ll be starting to see the ramp-up to the eventual big screen launch of 20th Century Fox’s THE NEW MUTANTS, their shift into teen horror mode – via superpowers, of course – starring the likes of Maisie Williams, Anna Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga.
Williams, Taylor-Joy and Zaga will be participating in a ‘virtual panel’, moderated by KeepIt Podcast’s Ira Madison III dropping on the CCI YouTube channel on Thursday 23rd at 2pm PT, in place of a previously cancelled Cartoon Network presentation. Whether this was always going to be the case – a big studio slipping into the slot of a placeholder – is something to be discussed at a later date but, for now, fans are just glad to finally start to see the promotion machine kick back into gear for this film which as seen more delays than a ‘compulsory wearing of face masks’ mandate.
The announcement came via Facebook and Twitter – free up some spare time, this could be one hell of a ride…

If NEW MUTANTS can barge its way into the programming without a by-or-leave…!). […]
