She-Hulk: Attorney at Law S1 E4-5 review – Even She-Hulk has a bad time dating

I know, I know! I did it again! I’m sorry guys, but I was away at another con and was not able to access my computer for last week’s episode (and I was very tired the other night…). Anyway, I’m back, and no more con’s on the schedule (this month?) for me. But, last week’s episode and this week’s episode very much go together and will look so nice paired up in this double review!

Alright, last week’s episode (the fourth of the season) was all about that dating life, with fun cameos from Wong and his new best friend. Let’s also not forget the opening of multiple dimensions and a blood pact with a demon goat of some kind. The fifth episode was about making sure you have the rights to your name, especially if you’re a superhero/heroine, and sometimes you really have to humiliate yourself to prove a valid point.

Well, I would love to say this was a great episode but it was just okay. I did laugh more and I am really starting to like Jennifer way more, and relate to her dating life (except I don’t get to turn green. I really wish though…). The true star of this episode was Wong, well Wonger’s and his new bestie (Madisynn). They pretty much steal the show and the extra bit at the end, like I get that there were demons and some nice looking guys. But, I was truly there for the Wongers. If they ever make it into their own spin off show, I would watch hours of them drinking and watching tv shows (I’m not even kidding).

We also get to see so many easter eggs, and also a lot of MCU inside jokes. Although, I would like to talk about Jennifer and her dating life. Awful and terrible, like most of us trying to date in current society and of course with the weirdos on dating apps. Poor Jen does not do well on her profile, then makes a She-Hulk one (I wonder if super people have their own dating services???). This one, of course, blows up. It was fun watching all of her strange dates (and yelling for her to crush some of them). Although the dating profile does not go well, I do hope she is able to find someone who accepts both parts of her.

I think I laughed the most during episode five so far, I mean where do I even start?! The boba tea shop that’s a front (I must now investigate all my favorite boba tea places)? Having to trademark your own superhero name (I’m not too surprised by this), new clothes, super suit reveal in next episode??? But, really. The person we have all been waiting for… Daredevil to finally make his long awaited appearance back again (yes, we did get Matt Murdock in the newest Spider-Man, but this is his super side). Even though we have not seen him yet, we will or everyone is going after The Mouse. Because you cannot just show a glimpse of his new outfit (mainly the helmet we’ve come to love) and then never give him to us, or a one minute appearance then roll credits and make us wait till next season. So as of right now, all our hopes are riding high on episode six next week.

You can binge watch all five episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney+, I recommend lots of snacks and booze to enjoy along with Jennifer. Plus, come join us all as we wait with baited breath for episode six next week on Thursday! Daredevil we will hunt you down if need be to see you in this show with She-Hulk.
