“…I am Groot!” “I am Steve Rogers!”
Yes, we may be getting a little excited about the impending release of MARVEL’S AVENGERS ENDGAME… but more about that next week, when Leonard and Mark Searby talk non-spoilery (and some spoilery, in the second half) thoughts about the film, and the impact it may have on San Diego Comic-Con and the possible return of Marvel Studios to Hall H.
But for this week, it’s all about another upcoming debut that we’re getting equally hyped about: that’s the brand new festival style comic convention – Comics Salopia – being held in the city of Shrewsbury over the weekend of 1st and 2nd June. It’s a big, bold, brash addition to the UK convention landscape and we’re very excited to be a part of it (Leonard will be panel hosting at the event – details to follow!)
Event director Shane Chebsey (the man also behind the ICE International Comic Expo shows) joins us to talk about what he and his team have planned for Comics Salolpia for its first year, as well as teasing us for the ICE Birmingham show later in the year.
