With comic conventions slowly starting again in Southern California, Torpedo Comics will be taking over the Hollywood Palladium from July 23rd to the 25th with an expansion of their inaugural show from 2019.
Torpedo Comics themselves are no stranger to the comic book industry as they have in business for quite a few years and have 2 shops (Las Vegas, Nevada and Orange, California). The company was founded by System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan who says about the convention “We crafted a space that will ring true for every collector, and brought in some amazing talent to give fans a chance to meet legends of our industry.”… and what an amazing talent line-up it is!
Torpedo Collectors Con 2021 will see over 100 comic book vendors set up, as well as some heavy hitters in the comic book industry including (in no particular order) Jim Lee, Frank Miller, Donny Cates, Bill Sienkiewicz, Frank Cho, Mark Brooks, and more! Tickets for the convention are now on sale!
Not only will this be one of the first comic cons in SoCal since the pandemic, but it will also be The Convention Collective’s return to conventions as we plan to be in attendance at the show.

Las Vegas: Torpedo Comics announced today Torpedo Collectors Convention (Torpedo Con) 2021, a three day collectors convention hosted at the historic Hollywood Palladium. Guests should expect over 100 vendors specializing in hard to find collectibles in areas such as comic books, graded video games, original art and toys. Torpedo Comics also announced an expansion to the convention from its inaugural show in 2019, with the addition of 8 superstar artists including Donny Cates, Jim Lee and Frank Miller. “We wanted to both help the industry stabilize after the COVID-19 shutdowns, and have a huge celebration for the things we love most: comic books and great storytelling ,” says John Dolmayan, Owner of Torpedo Comics . “We crafted a space that will ring true for every collector, and brought in some amazing talent to give fans a chance to meet legends of our industry.” Torpedo Con 2021 will be held from July 23rd-July 25th at the Hollywood Palladium.
