One of the hottest titles this year from Marvel has been Venom, thanks to terrific writing from Donny Cates, and gorgeous interior art from a few different artists including Mark Bagley, Iban Coello, Juan Gedeon, and Luke Ross.
Thanks to the pandemic and not being able to go to conventions, I discovered some great online retailers including Clan McDonald Comics. Recently they teamed up with another shop (Scorpion Comics) for an exclusive cover of VENOM #30 (which ends the ‘Venon Beyond’ storyline) with art by Italy’s own Lucio Parillo. The cover features Venom in all his might, and with all the different variants for the issue, I have to say is one of the better ones.
They released two different versions of the cover featuring Lucio’s artwork. The trade version retails has a print run of 1500 with the virgin (no trade dress/words on the cover) having a print run of 600.
The two different covers are available as a bundle for $49.99 (with a certificate of authenticity), or if you’re like some collectors and would like both signed, that can be done for $129.99 (shipping back and forth to Italy for Lucio to sign ain’t cheap). Clan McDonald is also offering a deal for both issues to be signed and graded through CBCS for $209.00, should you be interested.
The issues are available now unsigned. If you’re interested in the signed ones, the signing session to take place in early 2021 when the folks at Clan McDonald ship the books off to Italy for Lucio to sign (which considering that there are no conventions in the immediate future, is probably the only way to get him to sign your books).
Full synopsis of the issue is below courtesy of Diamond Comics and Marvel.
