W0RLDTR33 #3 Review – My favorite issue of this series thus far (Tynion IV, Blanco, Bellaire, Bidikar) Image Comics

Writer: James Tynion IV
Penciler: Fernando Blanco
Colorist: Jordie Bellaire
Letterer: Aditya Bidikar
Edits: Steve Foxe
Designer: Dylan Todd

Thanks to Image Comics for the review copy!

The race to save the world continues as various parties work to track the origin of the latest undernet leak and lay the groundwork to stop it. Ellison has been taken captive and detoured to a private meeting with W0rldtr33 founder Gabriel Winter to assess how much he knows. Meanwhile, at Ellison’s deceased brother Gibson’s house, PH34R continues her reign of terror trying to cover up her trail and leaving nothing but death in her wake.

Wow! This may have been my favorite issue of this series thus far. Tynion and team continue to ratchet up the tension while putting us in the middle of multiple escalating scenes. If this issue is any indication there is no slowing down with this book. There are so many interesting plot points going on it’s hard to pick one moment that really stands out. You’re literally on the edge of your seat all the way to the final page and it’s not an easy task in this format. We are witnessing true greatness in that Tynion has really mastered the timing and flow of how things should progress and it’s hard not to be excited about this series going forward. On top of the writing the art, colors, and lettering continue to be among some of the best I’ve seen. This is a team who is leaving it all on the table to be the top book of the year and don’t be surprised if they are right there when the dust settles. There is a scene with PH34R and a car window that is just gnarly! You really have to see it to believe it. Get this book on your pull list ASAP!

My rating – 10/10 Superb!
