We can only hope. Kendal in the Lake District of the UK has not had the very best of luck when it comes to the weather – with previous reports of massive flooding to the town and lots of upset in its wake – and this weekend is proving to not be the driest of the year, with lots of showers and rainclouds casting a grey pallor over the area – but, from all updates, the brightness is coming from the various presentations and activations that are making up the Lakes International Comic Art Festival, running in Kendal for the past six years.
Leonard is unable to go up for the entire weekend but he is making the journey up for one day, the Sunday, which will allow him to get a flavour of the show, as well as talking to some of the amazing creative talents that are taking up residence there. It always proven to be an incredible festival and we can’t wait to share some of its delights in this, a live report on site.
We’ll also be joined by Tripwire Magazine‘s Joel Meadows who has also been attending the Festival to bring us up to speed on the sights and sounds that we’ve missed – he’ll also be sharing how preparations are going for next years Portsmouth Comic Con, which he is organising, Busy bee, indeed.
This, and we’ll also be bringing a aftermath recap of Saturday’s San Diego Comic-Con Pre-Registration Badge Sale, to see if there has been any developments that could filter down to the major Open Online Sale, further down the line. Hope you can join us!
