This past September I finally went to a comic con after hearing about all the different ones for years. I decided to attend Los Angeles Comic Con, and it was an unforgettable first comic convention experience!
The first day of the convention can be best described as fast, exciting, and hectic! There was so much to see and do. The convention was divided up into various sections for all different types of fandoms.
As a lifelong horror fan I couldnāt miss out on the Horror area! There was a scary maze with scary figures like Pennywise hiding behind corners waiting to scare you. The horror vendors/artists had much to offer from custom Freddy Krueger gloves to life-size Chucky figurines. In the end I chose a Hello Kitty dressed as Chucky and a Misfits tumbler to take back home.
The Akiba Station was anime based and had much to offer in the way of vendors. There were one of a kind stickers featuring Dragonball Z, and Sailor Moon. It was cool to meet some of the original artists and learn their techniques and inspiration into their work.
All the areas were fun, but my favorite had to be Artist Alley. So many good creators showing off their original creations including sculptures as well as art featuring both superheroes and villains. I ended up picking up an original print of Predator over the years from Jeff Victor.

For me though the best part of the whole 3 day event for me were the cosplayers. There were so many creative cosplayers, I met a Little Mermaid, Grandpa Superman, Cinderella, Superman, and many more.

It was a great time with wonderful people. For my first comic con, I recommend Los Angeles Comic Con for both the cosplayer action as well of hundreds of amazing vendors.
