This was a groundbreaking year for me attending conventions, I did a total of 13. If some conventions were not all at the same time I definitely think I would have a higher count, but I’m happy with this number. By my last three conventions this year I was getting burned out and losing all my energy, especially with the back to back cons.
Here is my full list of conventions from 2024
- Fan Expo PDX
- Anime WA
- MegaCon
- LongCon
- Emerald City Comic Con
- Sakura Con
- Anime Impulse
- Washington State Summer Con
- WasabiCon
- Dragon Con
- Rose City Comic Con
- Horror Con
- Kumoricon
A jam packed year, many highs and lows and a lot of learning about which conventions to keep going back to. I know for sure I would love to try FanExpo PDX again (and not get snowed in or the sickest in my life), and I’m going to be sitting this next MegaCon out. I’m currently working on cosplay for Anime WA, and ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con will always be a con I keep going back to). I also know I will be at LongCon, Kumoricon, Dragon Con, and Rose City Comic Con. These are just some more conventions that have done really great work and had amazing guests, and I always have the best time at these conventions as well.
I really want to add San Diego Comic-Con into my 2025 convention list, I completely missed out this year! No more FOMO, only great memories! There are also some new conventions I’d love to put into my schedule for next year, such as Anime Expo (no, I will never shut up about this), Super Con and Anime NYC (I’m also looking at some cons in Vegas…). I just want to keep trying out the bigger conventions I have heard so much about, so I can finally have my own experience at them. But, I loved going to smaller conventions local to the PNW, many of them were so much fun…unfortunately I did find some cons that I will never go back to. That just means more time to fit in new conventions and have new experiences!
