Day two at Rose City Comic Con was crazy busy, as most conventions are on a Saturday. Because it’s more attended we saw even more cool cosplays and more booths (since some can’t get into town on Fridays of cons).
First getting into the hall was a fun experience right off the bat, I found out I will die by a spirit following me home one day (from a booth where you spin a wheel to find out), but at least they gave me candy to soften the blow of knowing how I’ll go out.
As most of you guys can guess I had another One Piece filled day, starting with wearing my Zoro cosplay. After that and grabbing a few things for friends, I checked in with some of my favorite artists (bringing them some water, since I know how hard leaving the booth can be). I actually ended up getting One Piece trading cards for them, like a card DoorDash. I did it about three or four times, and they were so sweet about it too (they gifted me some boxes of OP cards too!).
I finally made it to one panel today! See? I can do it! Because of lunch with friends, walking around to grab stuff for friends back home, time just got away from me. Later in the day it’s a bit easier to remember to go to a panel (haha), mostly because I’m ready to sit for a break by then. Anyway, my friends and I made it to ChefPK’s gender reverse maid cafe, where he demonstrated how to make mochi (and also gave some out!). At the end of the panel he gave away the microwave they had brought, and all chaos kind of broke out. There were many rock, paper, scissor battles but a Gojo cosplayer came out on top as the true champion.
There were so many cool vendors and artists that were a lot of fun to talk with and check out their stuff. I wish I was able to buy everything I liked, I still have my eyes on a very cool “Sunny” bag (the ship from the later One Piece series). There were even a few vendors who had told me to just message them after con so I can get some stuff early (a certain card box that’s not even out yet, I am so excited). I was once again able to snag some great stuff, and loved finding some cool new shirts. One is about the boba I love and the other is One Piece, so right on brand for me!
My main plan for Sunday is just to spend some more time with friends I won’t see for a few months, check back in with artists and pick up a few more things. I’ll try to make it to one more panel before making the road trip all the way back home (in which case I will be grabbing boba and Korean fried chicken, yay me!).
